To gain access to the EDREAM dataset, please download and complete the EULA (End User License Agreement) below. Email the scan of a signed copy to Prof. K. N.Plataniotis with the subject line "EDREAM dataset account request". Please send the request using your institutional email, and state in your email your research purpose, position and institution. Upon receipt, a username and password will be issued that can be used to download the data files below:

Vehicle-based data:

Measurements of the driving environment and vehicle control, as well as scenario trigger information are stored in the miniSim driving simulator's logs. The raw format was It has been converted into MAT-files. Since the size of this file is large, it was packaged into four zip files (for participants 1-9, 10-18, 19-27 and 28-37), and each zip file is around 300 to 400MB in size.

EEG data:

Four channels of EEG signals collected using a wireless Muse headband and band powers computed on the fly. The data in its original format (".muse") is in Muse_RAW.zip. It can be converted into more readable/usable formats, like Excel spreadsheet, CSV and MAT-files using the MusePlayer downloaded from http://developer.choosemuse.com/research-tools/museplayer. Already converted CSV files are also provided below.

Metadata and Subjective Ratings

Metadata_1-37.zip contains the meta data files in MAT-Files format. It allows inquiring the audio status, road status, and lead vehicle status (braking or not) of a sample in a recording based on one of the following:

  • miniSim frame number (for vehicle data, EEG data and Physiological data)
  • faceLAB frame number (for eye-tracking data)
  • GoPro time (for face videos)
  • This provides the exact scenario status when using any of the modalities.

    The participant's subjective ratings, answers to secondary tasks, and other experiment notes are contained in EDREAM_NOTES_ALL.xlsx.
